Scary Morning

Rachel and I had a pretty scary morning. When Rachel got up this morning she was having some spotting. I know it is a fairly common occurrence in a lot of pregnancies, but we have worked and yearned for this child for so long, it was really scary to think we might lose it. Luckily we were able to get in to the doctor and have an ultrasound. I’m happy to say the baby is doing fine. The heart beat was 171 bpm and the length was 35.7 mm. It has only been 2 weeks since the last ultrasound, but it’s amazing to see the difference. You can clearly make out the head, body, arms, legs, and hands. It is a beautiful sight, and one I will always cherish.
