Tuesday is our garbage and recycling day. This day usually does nothing more than infuriate me. I’m glad our neighbors recycle. We should do more of it. They never put a lid on their recycling box though, and my yard ends up littered with the weeks newspapers. This happens more often then not and my fence ends up plastered with paper.
Earlier in the week our kitchen faucet started acting up. Last night we decided to go ahead and replace it. I’ve done this lots of times before. It’s not a very hard process and usually takes less than an hour.
This time was a little different. I had two little helpers to fetch me tools and crawl under the sink with me. Yes, they were in the way from time to time. And Yes, they did like laying on me or standing on me while I was laying on my back under the sink. It was still a great father and sons experience that I would never change in the world. They both had to go and get their toy tools to make sure we got the job done correctly! Noah really had a blast helping.
I’ve wanted some artwork to put up in the office for awhile. Earlier this week, my first pieces of original artwork arrived. I now have them hanging on my office wall. I’ve taken a picture so everyone can see. I’m so proud. The one on the left is from Noah. The one on the right is from Wyatt.
Rachel should get some props because she actually lets them play with markers, paints, and crayons. I know a lot of mothers who don’t.
We are in the middle of an ice storm right now. We have some tree limbs down and we’ve lost power once. I thought I would post some pictures to illustrate the weather…
I haven’t had a chance to setup my home office yet. Until I do, these are the cramped quarters I’m working in.
It seems like every summer Rachel and I take on a remodeling job. This summer we have started to remodel our bedroom. When that is finished we will start working on the new babies room. These jobs always take longer than you expect. This time it seems especially hard to find time to work. Maybe it’s having an eleven month old and another on the way?

We finished pulling off the wallpaper in the guest bedroom last night. Now all the desctruction is complete, and we can start to put things back together.
