I’ve created a new version of Location Navigator for the Deer Park release of Firefox. You can get it here. Here is what has changed:
This version has been greatly reworked. For the user, you can now select the portion of the location that varies, and how you want to increment that portion. The command keys have been changed so they should now work on the Mac. A Location Navigator submenu has been add to the Go menu. You can now capture and send the original referring location when navigating. You can set a background color on the buttons, if the location is in global history or it fails an HTTP “head” request. A new set of icons have been created, and it has been updated to use the new features in Deer Park. For the developer, the backend has been rewritten. This makes it easy to create different ways to increment the location. Future plans include a custom list incrementor and a date incrementor.
Location Navigator is a Firefox extension that lets you grab a location, select a portion of the location that varies, and then navigate up or down from that starting spot.
