Iit looks like to me like the flower is opening the shutters. I can’t quite decide if it is opening them invitingly or if it is has a more menacing. It could be that the flower is opening the shutters to invite in the light and beauty of the world, or it could be that it is opening the shutters to attack. The title doesn’t really help either. For some reason the imagery and the title makes me think that things are changing for the worse. The flora and fauna are taking over and this is the initial rush as they take over the planet.

This weeks Flickr interesting photo. Now that summer is fast approaching, I figured this photo embodies summer for a lot of people. I know Rachel and I have fond memories of grilling with friends and family.

This weeks Flickr interesting photo. What really makes this photo interesting to me is the fact that it was inspired by the Stephen King “Dark Tower” series. The “Dark Tower” series is my all time favorite set of books. I remember reading “The Gunslinger” when I was in junior high and it was probably one of the first Stephen King books I read.

This is what is like to bath our cats. That’s why the don’t get a bath to often. The boys are almost this bad in the opposite direction. It’s hard to get them out of the bathtub.

I’ve wanted some artwork to put up in the office for awhile. Earlier this week, my first pieces of original artwork arrived. I now have them hanging on my office wall. I’ve taken a picture so everyone can see. I’m so proud. The one on the left is from Noah. The one on the right is from Wyatt.

Rachel should get some props because she actually lets them play with markers, paints, and crayons. I know a lot of mothers who don’t.

This weeks Flickr interesting picture.

This one just makes me think about my kids and how much I love them. It also tells of how short a time we get when they are little. They grow up fast and are gone so we need to cherish every day we spend with them.
