The guys from Superbad have a new movie coming out called "Pineapple Express". I’ve watched this trailer a couple of different times, and I really like the music in it. I can’t figure out the name of the song or who sings it, though. I tried to twitter about it and got no response.

I’m now asking the interweb at large. What is the name of the song at the end of the Pineapple Express trailer?

Here is a cool but kind of creepy robot. It reminds me of those AT-ATs from Star Wars. I wouldn’t want to meet this thing in a dark alley.

I’ve found my new favorite genre of music…Acoustic Gangsta Rap

Here is a little background information. I’m a 32 year old Caucasian from a small Iowa town. Given the demographic, you would not think rap music was very influential in my life. You would be wrong. I grew up listening to rap music. I remember fondly when I got LL Cool J’s “Walking With A Panther” album. This was the first real music I can remember getting. Fat Boys and Run DMC were some of the first groups I listened to. From there I progressively started to listen to harder and harder music. Bushwick Bill and Ganksta N-I-P were staples in my playlist. N.W.A. was my favorite group. I remember having to have someone else buy the album Niggaz4life because I wasn’t old enough.

Eventually I stopped listening to rap music. Recently in my wanderings of the great interweb a link brought me to Top 5 Folky Covers of Rap & Hip-Hop Songs. This immediately got me looking for more. I’ve put together a playlist on youtube of some of these great covers. I admit these aren’t all gangsta rap and they are not all acoustic, but acoustic gangsta rap sounds so cool.

Tay Zonday was made an instant internet celebrity with his song Chocolate Rain. Now he has a commercial for the new Cherry Chocolate Dr Pepper. Another song that automatically gets stuck in your head. You have to wonder how else he may try to extend his fifteen minutes of fame.

We’ve released the third beta of Netscape Navigator 9.0. I thought the video was a great way to commemorate the moment.

I’ve been trying to post a video from YouTube onto this blog. I’ve tried three different times, and each time I get the message that the video will be posted shortly. The videos have never appeared. First why can’t youtube do this more interactively instead of in batch later in the day. Second, if there is a problem, let me know about it. Do not just fail silently!
